This was my first meeting with French culture. Every afternoon, safe home from school Id' watch "Helene og gutta" /"Helene et les garcons" . The antagonist, Stephanie, always tried to steal Helene's boyfriend, but she always went and bought croissants in the morning. Then she would enter the house and yell "SALUT!" Hence: My first French word.
