Paris is the cure.

Moving to a new place can be lonely at times. Although I’ve meet lots of nice people who are both nice, cool and interesting I have also at times encountered the big black hole that is the feeling of loneliness. However, wonderfully enough I have found a very available cure…..walk outside…By getting out of my room, away from my computer, from FB showing me everything I am not doing I huff the loneliness away. Paris is like a never ending box of chocolate, (sorry for cheesy Forrest Gump allusion) but wherever you go there tends to be a new street filled with hidden treasures. Like random stores that only sell dollhouses…at about 2000 euros a piece. So today when class was over and I didn’t know what to do I simply walked home. 5 hours later and 40 euros poorer I was shopped out, happy and had explored yet another part of the right bank.

Also, in the Marais I stumbled upon this art project: http://100joursenfrance.canalblog.com/ that deals with French immigration and integration policies. Being a fan of both art and politics and the combination of the two I think it’s worth checking out.
